CivilState - Redefining bridge design software

Introduction to Matbeam

Matbeam is a complete beam analysis tool featuring complete analysis capabilities for static and moving live loads on single-span and multi-span bridges.  Matbeam is extremely easy to use and features standard features found in most windows applications.

The user has the capability to analyze an infinite amount of spans  with an infinite amount of loads.  The user can further define check points and section properties at any point along the beam.  Also, Matbeam can be used with U.S. Customary units and Metric units.  The flexibility the software provides, allows the user to drive the analysis and cater the results to their needs.

Loading capabilities include AASHTO Standard and LRFD loads including HL-93 Loading as well as concentrated and distributed loadings.  Matbeam comes with a pre-defined live load library.  The load library can easily be customized to store any variety of live loads.

Adding loads and system properties to the beam is extremely simple because all portions of the program are handled graphically.

Matbeam can be customized to simulate impact and distribution factors with a few clicks of the mouse, making Matbeam a perfect choice to verify or create your own design values.
